Requirements
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a senior-level role.
- Expert-level proficiency in Ruby on Rails (modern versions).
- Production experience with PostgreSQL including schema design and query optimization.
- Strong expertise with Sidekiq for background job processing.
- Proficiency in Redis for caching, job queues, and distributed locking.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
- Solid background in API design, RESTful principles, versioning, and serialization.
- Experience designing and scaling distributed systems in production.
- Familiarity with AWS services (S3, DynamoDB, SQS, CloudWatch, SES).
- Strong skills in CI/CD pipelines, testing, logging, and performance monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Architect backend systems powering user workflows, notifications, and automation features.
- Design and build APIs and microservices optimized for performance, efficiency, and scale.
- Improve system observability, monitoring, logging, testing, and alerting.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective optimization strategies.
- Build and maintain resilient integrations with third-party APIs and services.
- Collaborate with product, data, and frontend teams in 2-week agile sprints.
- Participate in system design and architecture reviews to ensure production stability.
