Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Paralegal, Lawyer, or Attorney.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a family law paralegal for a law firm in the United States.
  • Experience drafting family law pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
  • Experience reviewing and organizing financial records and mandatory disclosure documents.
  • Strong understanding of litigation deadlines and family court procedures.
  • Experience preparing matters for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials.
  • Experience with legal case management software and electronic court filing systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 or comparable cloud-based business tools.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proven employment stability, with at least two years of tenure in each prior role.
  • Consistent availability during U.S. business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys with divorce, custody, child support, alimony, paternity, and other family law matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, petitions, notices, discovery requests, discovery responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Assist with preparation of financial affidavits, mandatory disclosures, asset and liability schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Manage discovery, document collection, review, organization, and production.
  • Prepare hearing, mediation, deposition, and trial materials.
  • Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, conferences, and other case events.
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and experts.
  • Track court deadlines, discovery deadlines, hearing dates, and case milestones.
  • Maintain accurate and organized digital case files.
