Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in relevant technical roles.
- At least 2 years of professional experience leading cloud-based IT platform administration.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in people management.
- Experience managing web applications and SaaS platforms with a security focus.
- Expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) deployment and security.
- Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL document stores, and Git/GitHub version control.
- Working knowledge of IT security best practices including SSO, identity management, MFA, and zero-trust principles.
- Experience with DevOps support including authentication, logging, alerting, and monitoring.
- Experience solving complex, ambiguous problems using human-centered design and agile methods.
- Proven ability to operate independently with high autonomy in a startup-like environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary administrator for systems including Google Workspace, GitHub, AWS, and Slack.
- Act as primary liaison to the State’s Office of Information Technology for security and cloud policies.
- Manage software licensing, access controls, onboarding/offboarding, and hardware provisioning.
- Design and implement organizational technical policies and operational processes.
- Provide technical consulting for software procurement and project solutions.
- Serve as authority on cybersecurity practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Develop and audit security processes, controls, and compliance frameworks for cloud architecture.
