Requirements
- 2+ years of claims handling experience, including coverage and liability.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to show empathy.
- Proficiency with Mac computers, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Must hold or be able to promptly obtain a Texas Independent Adjuster License.
- Experience with Commercial General Liability claims.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
- Self-starter with flexibility and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with strict deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Manage, investigate, and resolve commercial general liability property damage claims including evaluating coverage, liability, and damages.
- Settle claims within prescribed authority levels.
- Recommend ultimate resolution on cases exceeding personal authority levels to local claims management.
- Evaluate insurance coverage based on claim reports, insurance policies, and applicable statutes or case law.
- Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather information and advise on the proper course of action.
- Respond to written and telephone inquiries, including providing status reports.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements while meeting quality assurance and performance goals.
