Requirements
- 7-10+ years of life insurance underwriting experience.
- Proven proficiency in underwriting processes and philosophies.
- Ability to manage advanced decision-level authorities of $2.5 million or higher without a co-signature.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex information and explain findings to others.
- Ability to develop goals, plan, and prioritize work effectively.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- BGA and trial experience preferred.
- Completion of LOMA 280/281 and 290/291 preferred.
- Working toward AALU, FLMI, and FALU designations preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform end-to-end underwriting decisions starting with data review and tool utilization.
- Determine, order, and review additional underwriting requirements for risk selection.
- Finalize insurance cases and document decisions.
- Enter medical history data and process applications using system workbenches.
- Adhere to schedules while meeting established productivity, quality, and performance standards.
