Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of prior authorization and clinical setting experience.
- Experience working within Pain Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Familiarity with payor portals and medical policy navigation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work remotely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform computer-based tasks.
Responsibilities
- Monitor advanced procedure trackers to identify authorization opportunities.
- Collect all required clinical documentation for prior authorizations.
- Review medical necessity guidelines for procedures.
- Submit prior and retro authorization requests to payors accurately and promptly.
- Document account activity and update patient/claim information.
- Identify trends or issues causing delays in authorization or claims processing.
- Communicate with practices, insurance companies, and patients to secure approvals.
- Provide backup support to the Contact Center Team during peak times.
