Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 5+ years building scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
- Proven experience contributing to or leading platform modernization or migration initiatives.
- Advanced Python skills (service development, testing, packaging, maintainable design).
- Proven experience and skills working with Databricks, Spark, and data platform ecosystems.
- Expertise in REST API design, authentication, versioning, and error handling.
- Hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring).
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps fundamentals (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing.
- Ability to work autonomously in a distributed team environment.
Responsibilities
- Modernize the legacy origination ecosystem by developing scalable platform services.
- Replace legacy .NET platform components with Python on Databricks.
- Design and implement secure, maintainable REST APIs and integrations for internal and external systems.
- Drive code quality, observability, and scalable architecture practices.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to influence architecture and delivery standards.
