Requirements
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in good standing in any U.S. state.
- 5+ years of legal experience.
- Strong contract drafting, review, and negotiation skills.
- Sound legal and business judgment with the ability to identify risk and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce polished, accurate work.
- Intellectual curiosity and comfort working through unfamiliar legal issues.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Clear, direct communication skills, including explaining legal concepts to non-lawyers.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Comfort working in a Mac-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, revise, and negotiate customer and vendor agreements, including order forms, subscription agreements, technology agreements, statements of work, amendments, nondisclosure agreements, and proposed changes to standard forms.
- Identify and communicate legal, financial, operational, and business risks; recommend and negotiate appropriate responses; and escalate significant or unusual issues when appropriate.
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure contractual terms, confirm business arrangements, review transactional documents, and facilitate contract execution.
- Draft and review RFPs and provide quality assurance across contracts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Refine existing contract templates, standard provisions, and legal playbooks while maintaining accurate records and workflows.
- Research and address legal matters including corporate governance, employment law, intellectual property, regulatory compliance, risk management, and data privacy.
- Participate in legal team initiatives and special projects.
