Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree from a behavioral health clinical track (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LPC, MSW, LMFT, Ph.D, Psy.D.).
  • Current unrestricted license to practice within the United States.
  • 3+ years of experience in behavioral health, quality improvement, or compliance.
  • Experience with chart audits, incident review, and regulatory surveys.
  • Strong understanding of Behavioral Health clinical workflows and documentation requirements.
  • Knowledge of performance improvement methodologies such as PDSA, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and influence practice change.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and secure virtual platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Behavioral Health Performance Improvement activities, track performance trends, and conduct Root Cause Analysis.
  • Manage continuous survey readiness activities and interpret regulatory requirements into clinical workflows.
  • Conduct chart audits for treatment plans, medical necessity, and discharge planning.
  • Monitor key metrics and support Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) processes.
  • Educate staff on documentation, risk assessment, and quality improvement processes.
  • Coordinate the Behavioral Health Quality/Performance Improvement Committee and support investigations.
  • Analyze and monitor clinical QI activities to ensure compliance with customer guarantees.
