Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or LLB degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Texas and in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful insurance attorney experience, preferably within first party property damage or Texas Deceptive Practices Act.
- Proven experience managing moderately complex litigation.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in advanced e-discovery tools and legal case management software.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead junior attorneys and legal staff.
- Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
- Commitment to ethical legal practice and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage all phases of litigation involving claims of moderate to heavy value.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research, draft precise pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Lead settlement negotiations and participate in hearings, trials, and mediations.
- Provide clear, well-reasoned legal opinions and strategic advice to clients and Claims Representatives.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks associated with cases in collaboration with clients.
- Mentor junior attorneys and legal support staff.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and workflow enhancements.
