Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • 5–8 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing retail commercial real estate construction projects, particularly fit-outs and relocations.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, project delivery, leases, contracts, and related real estate processes.
  • Ability to interpret and work with architectural drawings and construction documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, documentation, and risk management capabilities.
  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, solve complex problems, and maintain project momentum.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Ability to mentor others and contribute knowledge across project management and related disciplines.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% to client sites across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead commercial real estate projects through the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Manage retail fit-out and relocation projects while ensuring alignment with client strategic objectives, scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
  • Work directly with clients to define project scope, resource requirements, cost estimates, budgets, work plans, schedules, milestones, quality controls, and risks.
  • Identify and coordinate appropriate project delivery resources using pre-qualified resources or established qualification processes.
  • Manage requests for proposals, evaluate bids, and provide informed resource recommendations to clients.
  • Develop action plans to achieve project objectives and closely monitor progress, budgets, schedules, milestones, and variances.
  • Identify project threats early and develop appropriate risk mitigation, contingency, and corrective action plans.
  • Build consensus among stakeholders, influence decisions, and maintain productive relationships throughout project delivery.
