Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years in data engineering, data science, or architecture, including 2+ years in leadership.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- 3+ years of experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Looker.
- Deep understanding of data pipeline architecture, dimensional modeling, and ELT best practices.
- Experience implementing data quality programs, automated testing, and observability.
- Familiarity with data governance, zero-trust security, and compliance standards.
- Experience managing or collaborating with Data Science teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of data engineers and data scientists.
- Oversee the design, deployment, maintenance, and scalability of data pipelines, architecture, and models.
- Partner with Analytics teams to develop data models and infrastructure using Looker.
- Define and evolve the data warehousing strategy using Snowflake.
- Establish data quality standards, governance, automated testing, and security controls.
- Act as the primary liaison between the data function and business stakeholders.
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for data engineering and data science.
- Contribute to codebases on high-impact initiatives and complex technical challenges.
