Requirements
- 6+ years of experience selling technical infrastructure to enterprise buyers, such as databases, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, observability, or developer tooling.
- Proven track record of closing complex deals requiring navigation of security reviews, legal processes, and procurement.
- Technical fluency sufficient to hold architecture-level conversations with engineering teams.
- Experience managing a hybrid quota consisting of new business, expansion, and renewals.
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-metered commercial models.
- Experience selling into both bottom-up developer-led adoptions and top-down enterprise environments.
- Strong ability to orchestrate cross-functional teams including Solutions Architects, partners, and product managers.
- Demonstrated ability to provide accurate sales forecasting.
Responsibilities
- Own the full sales cycle for both new and existing accounts in your territory—from initial conversation through security review, procurement, and close.
- Grow install base by landing new teams and use cases within existing customer accounts.
- Own renewals and consumption commitments, collaborating with Solutions Architects and Support to manage churn risk.
- Monitor consumption trends to engage early with accounts showing fluctuating usage.
- Identify and develop opportunities in new accounts, including those already using open-source or self-serve versions of the platform.
- Multi-thread across stakeholders including data platform teams, budget owners, security teams, and executive sponsors.
- Coordinate with Solutions Architects to drive technical evaluations while leading commercial strategy and closing.
- Manage the procurement path, including security questionnaires, legal redlines, and vendor onboarding.
