Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in SEO and content, specifically in strategy and hands-on execution.
- Proven background at a consumer app, fintech, or growth-stage startup.
- Strong writing and editorial skills with the ability to produce daily personal finance content.
- Working knowledge of Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
- Experience with YouTube SEO or video content optimization.
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools: Ahrefs or SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4.
- Experience managing backlink and digital PR campaigns.
- Familiarity with schema and structured data implementations.
- Self-directed ability to manage daily operations, technical roadmaps, and experiments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end SEO for step.com including site architecture, on-page optimization, and technical audits.
- Drive the Money 101 blog strategy, managing daily content production via freelance and AI-assisted workflows.
- Optimize content for AI search platforms and LLMs using structured data, schema, and specific answer-engine formats.
- Execute digital PR and backlink acquisition campaigns to build domain authority.
- Develop search optimization strategy for social channels, specifically YouTube, to improve video and search engine ranking.
- Partner with web engineering to resolve technical performance issues and improve Core Web Vitals.
- Report on organic performance metrics including rankings, traffic, conversions, and AI citation share.
