Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or a closely related field.
- Advanced SQL skills, including window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
- Hands-on production experience with Snowflake.
- Proficiency building and maintaining dbt models, including testing and documentation.
- Experience building reporting in Hex or a similar notebook-based analytics platform.
- Demonstrated track record of end-to-end ownership from scoping to delivery.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings to non-technical audiences.
- Working familiarity with AI tools in analytics, paired with judgment regarding output verification.
Responsibilities
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries against Snowflake to answer business questions.
- Build and maintain well-documented, tested, and reusable dbt models.
- Create trusted dashboards, apps, and reports using Hex.
- Partner with teams to define key metrics and translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical requirements.
- Investigate metric anomalies, determine root causes, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Maintain consistent documentation across dbt and Hex to ensure team alignment.
- Validate data sources and perform rigorous quality checks before reporting to stakeholders.
- Utilize AI tools to accelerate workflows while verifying outputs and mentor team members.
