Requirements
- Proven experience building and running model portfolios at a small-to-midsize RIA or robo-advisor.
- Hands-on experience personally designing model portfolios.
- CFA charter or equivalent demonstrated track record.
- Strong working knowledge of modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, and passive fund/ETF selection.
- Ability to write detailed product requirements for engineering teams.
- Comfortable being publicly named as the face of an investment strategy.
- Startup mindset with the ability to build functions from scratch without immediate team support.
Responsibilities
- Design and own the Investment Policy Statement and 50/30/20 model portfolio framework across risk bands.
- Select and maintain the fund/ETF lineup using defensible due-diligence criteria.
- Define rebalancing and tax-loss-harvesting logic.
- Collaborate directly with the engineering team to translate investment logic into functional product requirements.
- Serve as the named investment lead in regulatory filings like Form ADV and in client-facing marketing materials.
- Partner with General Counsel and compliance teams to navigate RIA-specific requirements.
- Establish compliant talking points for licensed representatives to use with clients.
