Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2–3 years of experience in mortgage loan servicing or lending.
- Strong understanding of payment and due-date requirements.
- Working knowledge of investor guidelines and mortgage servicing systems.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large volumes of information.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Comfortable working in a high-volume, time-sensitive operational environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet with minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
Responsibilities
- Ensure loans carrying mortgage insurance are serviced in accordance with applicable investor guidelines.
- Process monthly mortgage insurance premium payments and disbursements accurately and timely.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews of loan data to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Reconcile mortgage insurance payments across the servicing portfolio and investigate exceptions.
- Review newly boarded loans to validate mortgage insurance information and documentation.
- Process borrower requests for mortgage insurance termination based on eligibility.
- Maintain mortgage insurance rescission and cancellation documentation.
- Validate mortgage insurance data during servicing transfers and support weekly validation activities.
