Requirements
- BS in Accounting or Professional Accountancy.
- At least 7-10 years of accounting experience.
- Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time.
- Remote work availability.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience in the agricultural industry strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with industry software such as Canopy, AGRIS, AgTrax, Great Plains, NetSuite, QuickBooks, AgVance, Business Central, or Sage.
Responsibilities
- Develop short-, mid-, and long-term financial forecasts with clients and internal teams.
- Prepare budgets based on forecasts and business objectives.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts and review general ledger activity.
- Direct the preparation of financial statements including income statements and balance sheets.
- Develop, implement, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Identify and manage business risks, including insurance requirements.
- Collaborate with client executive leadership on financial strategy and operational planning.
