Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or geotechnical engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration.
- At least 8 years of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment.
- Proven track record in client development and management.
- Demonstrated strong interest in solid waste engineering.
- Strong oral and technical writing skills.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- Willingness to conduct regular field work and overnight travel.
- Advanced degree in a related field (preferred).
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D, fate transport modeling, Slope/W, Vadose/W, Sigma/W, and ArcGIS (preferred).
- Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Manage overall delivery of multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule expectations.
- Drive business development by acquiring new clients and leading proposal preparation.
- Oversee design activities for civil, landfill, stormwater, post-closure use, and site layout.
- Perform or review engineering analyses such as slope stability, hydrologic and landfill gas modeling, seismic, and seepage.
- Prepare permit applications, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and construction bid packages.
- Manage and mentor mid-career and early-career staff while overseeing subcontractors.
- Oversee fieldwork associated with investigation, design, and construction quality assurance.
