Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in a related discipline.
- Minimum of eight years of electrical engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting, grounding, and life safety systems.
- Proficiency in National Electric Code (NEC), Life Safety, and Energy Conservation Codes.
- Expertise in technical software for short circuit coordination, arc flash studies, and electrical calculations.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Revit for design and visual aids.
- Ability to plan, delegate, and lead design teams effectively.
- Strong capability to leverage AI and emerging technologies for workflow optimization.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while serving as a primary client contact.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform intermediate to advanced electrical design tasks including distribution systems, topologies, and equipment sizing.
- Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage project design team resources, scheduling, and budget coordination.
- Lead construction administration tasks including reviewing submittals, RFIs, and punch lists.
- Identify and implement AI and digital tools to enhance workflow automation and project efficiency.
- Survey existing building conditions and prepare technical reports for stakeholders.
