Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant high voltage physical substation design experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation.
- Experience with CDEGS and WinIGS.
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) and NEC.
- Knowledge of construction practices and constructability.
- Experience with proposal writing and project estimating.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior technical resource and advisor for the team.
- Provide specialized technical input to studies and design for substation scopes.
- Develop study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality, cost-effective work.
- Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
- Prepare technical specification sections.
- Manage engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.
- Communicate client interests and drivers to the project team.
- Remove impediments obstructing the engineering team from achieving its goals.
