Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of eight years of engineering or related field experience.
- At least two years of experience in Mission Critical Data Center design projects.
- Advanced knowledge of fiber optic components, cabling, and interconnect products.
- Advanced knowledge of ICT structured cabling design technologies and standards.
- Proven experience with Revit or other computer-aided design tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and optimize processes.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Registered Communications Distribution Design (RCDD) certificate preferred.
- Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform advanced ICT design tasks, including fiber optic and copper plant design and physical layer route and utilization.
- Manage project design teams, including resource forecasting, coordination, and QAQC peer reviews.
- Lead construction activities such as surveying building conditions, preparing technical reports, and managing submittals, RFIs, and punch lists.
- Develop project proposals, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and serve as a primary client contact.
- Mentor associates and contribute to organizational training, standards development, and strategic planning.
- Identify and lead the implementation of AI-enabled tools and digital platforms to enhance workflow automation and project efficiency.
