Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Drafting, Bachelor's in Engineering Technology, or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience preparing 3D substation models and physical designs.
- Proficiency in 3D design using AutoCAD, Inventor, P4A, Vault Pro, and SDS software.
- Ability to visualize in 3D and layout substation equipment based on client and IEEE standards.
- Ability to follow established CAD standards.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for technical plans and models.
- Knowledge of engineering science and technology application.
- Ability to use BlueBeam for BOM creation and drawing review.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high and extra high voltage substation design packages with minimum guidance.
- Produce 3D models for general arrangements, electrical equipment plans, sections, and various electrical and foundation details.
- Generate Bills of Material, cable schedules, and shielding plans.
- Interpret and incorporate vendor information into design deliverables.
- Conduct walkdowns at client substation facilities.
