Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering, security operations, or a related combined role.
- Hands-on experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, or PCI compliance audit cycles.
- Strong application security fundamentals (threat modeling, secure code review, OWASP Top 10, CWE).
- Experience with security tooling across the development lifecycle (SAST, SCA, DAST, secret/IaC scanning).
- Working knowledge of AWS services, including IAM, VPC networking, and security configurations.
- Proficiency in Python and comfort reading code across backend services.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform preferred) and CI/CD pipeline security.
- Strong written communication skills for technical documentation and policy creation.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot) to write scripts and build automations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct threat modeling and security design reviews for new features and architectural changes.
- Perform secure code reviews with a focus on authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Deploy and maintain security tooling across the development lifecycle, including SAST, SCA, and DAST.
- Partner with platform engineering on AWS resource hardening, network segmentation, and environment isolation.
- Drive vulnerability triage, prioritization, and remediation tracking across teams.
- Support compliance audit cycles for SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI 4.0 by gathering evidence and documenting controls.
- Respond to customer and vendor security questionnaires and RFP security sections.
- Maintain security runbooks and build automation using AI-assisted development tools.
