Requirements
- Solid expertise in PHP and backend architecture.
- Hands-on experience building or maintaining plugins.
- Ability to design systems that scale across multiple platforms.
- Track record of mentoring or growing other engineers.
- Deep expertise in at least one major CMS (Magento, Sylius, or WooCommerce) is preferred.
- Informal leadership background or willingness to step into it is preferred.
- Openness to work with AI tools in your development workflow is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Improve the architecture of existing plugins and guide AI agents in creating new plugins with clean, maintainable structures.
- Set patterns that scale across our plugin ecosystem.
- Implement review standards, enforce PHP patterns, set up linting/testing tools, and audit test coverage.
- Lead code reviews and pair programming sessions to help intermediate engineers grow technically.
- Facilitate and lead refinement sessions, help the team iterate on processes, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the CMS squad.
- Harmonize patterns and conventions across Sylius, Magento, PrestaShop, WooCommerce, Shopify, and SFCC.
