Requirements
- 2+ years of U.S.-based dental practice experience.
- Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist, Front Desk Coordinator, Patient Coordinator, or similar dental front-office role.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
- Excellent spoken English with a professional, friendly, and confident phone presence.
- Strong experience handling inbound and outbound phone calls.
- Hands-on experience with dental appointment scheduling.
- Experience verifying dental insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Experience with prior authorizations and/or pre-treatment estimates.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document patient and insurance information.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining reliable communication.
- Experience using Eaglesoft (strongly preferred).
- Experience working in a busy, multi-provider dental practice (strongly preferred).
Responsibilities
- Handle high-volume inbound and outbound patient calls, including scheduling, general questions, follow-ups, and message-taking.
- Schedule new and existing patients, including confirmations, rescheduling, recalls, and reactivation of inactive patients.
- Provide a warm, professional, and patient-focused experience during every interaction.
- Handle difficult or frustrated patients calmly and professionally, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits, including coverage, deductibles, annual maximums, limitations, and other relevant benefits.
- Assist with prior authorizations and pre-treatment estimates, including gathering documentation, following up with insurance carriers, and tracking requests.
- Maintain accurate patient records in Eaglesoft, including demographics, insurance information, notes, and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with the dental team regarding patient needs, scheduling issues, insurance questions, and follow-ups.
