Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science or Dietetics.
- Certification as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of residence.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience providing nutrition education or counseling.
- Verbally fluent in Spanish with proficiency in medical and nutrition terminology.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to make clinical decisions regarding nutrition education appropriateness.
Responsibilities
- Provide telephonic nutrition education sessions per member/patient based on program enrollment.
- Document goals and care plans from education sessions in the platform.
- Schedule follow-up calls with each member/patient.
- Develop nutrition education handouts and tools as needed.
- Identify community resources for clients as needed.
- Maintain professional knowledge through continuing education and networking.
- Contribute to social media content, articles, and newsletters.
