Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial-statement support.
- Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency.
- Experience with an ERP system such as Netsuite.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Continuous-improvement mindset and ability to take ownership of problems.
- Public accounting or high-growth company experience is a plus.
- Experience in a fast-growing SaaS organization is a plus.
- Working knowledge on building AI workflow agents is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own commission and bonus accounting, including calculation review, monthly accruals, reconciliations, and coordination with FP&A and Payroll teams.
- Account for capitalized commissions in accordance with accounting guidance, including amortization, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Manage key accounting areas, such as cash, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany accounting.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and US GAAP.
- Partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, and operational teams to support timely financial reporting.
- Assist with audit, tax, and compliance requests by preparing clear schedules and documentation.
- Maintain organized accounting records, process documentation, and internal control evidence.
- Recommend improvements to processes and leverage AI/automation to scale the finance function.
- Contribute to ad hoc reporting and special projects as the business evolves.
