Requirements
- Minimum 4+ years of Australian public practice tax experience.
- Strong background in Business Services and Tax.
- Ability to complete jobs independently and accurately with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with Xero and Hubdoc.
- Proficiency with Xero Tax, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
- Proficiency with Xero Practice Manager.
- Experience with SuiteFiles (highly preferred).
- Confidence using ATO portals.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Individual Tax Returns from start to finish including income and expense analysis, rental property schedules, and capital gains tax calculations.
- Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS) and IAS.
- Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for sole traders, companies, and trusts using Xero.
- Utilize ATO Online Services for Agents to manage reports.
- Maintain bookkeeping records and process payroll.
- Assist with ABN, TFN, GST registrations and ASIC annual review documentation.
- Set up new clients in Xero Practice Manager and maintain procedural documentation.
