Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, finance, data science, business, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in natural gas markets.
- Proven experience building regional supply-demand balances.
- Strong proficiency in Excel modeling.
- Deep understanding of physical natural gas markets, pipeline infrastructure, and pricing dynamics.
- Ability to travel up to 10% for meetings and industry conferences.
- Excellent communication skills for synthesizing and presenting complex information.
- Proven ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or Power BI is a plus.
- Experience with EIA, PointLogic, Genscape, or pipeline EBBs is a plus.
- Prior experience supporting a trading desk is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed Midwest natural gas supply-demand balance models.
- Monitor pipeline operations, infrastructure, storage utilization, and basis market movements.
- Analyze natural gas consumption across key industrial and agricultural sectors.
- Identify fundamental drivers of regional pricing and basis relationships.
- Create dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to communicate insights.
- Collaborate with origination, trading, and scheduling teams to align market views.
- Provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership for asset optimization.
