Requirements

  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience developing and supporting Workday Reporting solutions, including advanced reporting capabilities.
  • Strong SQL skills and practical experience with enterprise data platforms such as Fabric, Dremio, and Scality.
  • Experience working with HR, People, or workforce data and an understanding of relevant HR processes.
  • Strong systems thinking, analytical reasoning, business problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate complex needs into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Experience with Workday Security concepts and HR data governance principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, consultation, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting sensitive reporting requests involving areas such as Legal, Compliance, Audit, or Employee Relations is a plus.
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and dashboarding tools is preferred.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and a commitment to data accuracy, privacy, governance, and responsible use of employee information.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with stakeholders to understand underlying business needs and recommend effective reporting or analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and improve scalable Workday Reporting solutions and people analytics products.
  • Write, maintain, and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, reconcile, and analyze HR and workforce data from Dremio and other enterprise platforms.
  • Combine data from multiple systems to support reporting, investigations, workforce insights, and business decision-making.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, investigate discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of analytical outputs.
  • Partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, Employee Relations, Audit, and other stakeholders on sensitive reporting and data requests.
  • Apply systems thinking and root-cause analysis to challenge assumptions and identify the real business problem behind a request.
  • Document reporting methodologies, SQL logic, data definitions, and processes to promote transparency, consistency, and repeatability.
  • Collaborate with dashboarding, infrastructure, product, and data engineering teams to deliver integrated people data solutions.
  • Ensure reporting practices comply with privacy, governance, security, and audit requirements.
