Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Senior Instructional Systems Designer or in a related senior role.
- Proficiency in designing and developing courses using Lectora or comparable authoring tools.
- Strong knowledge of instructional systems design, adult learning theory, and ADDIE methodology.
- Experience creating classroom, virtual, hybrid, and interactive learning experiences.
- Strong understanding of Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through the development lifecycle and manage multiple projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technology skills, particularly within Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience with multimedia development tools such as Vyond, Camtasia, or Adobe After Effects.
- Experience leveraging AI tools for instructional design workflows.
- Ability to work during East Coast core hours (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.).
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, development, delivery, and deployment of instructional assets.
- Apply adult learning principles and the ADDIE methodology to develop courses, curricula, and training manuals.
- Design engaging online and virtual instructor-led learning experiences with high interactivity.
- Create experiential learning assets such as simulations and games.
- Use AI-enabled tools to improve instructional design and development efficiency.
- Develop interactive learning experiences using authoring platforms such as Lectora, Adobe Captivate, or Articulate Storyline.
- Ensure all learning materials meet client quality standards and Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Collaborate with project management teams to maintain schedules and monitor milestones.
- Provide technical and instructional leadership throughout the development lifecycle.
