Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Active Professional Engineering (PE) license.
  • At least 10 years of experience designing electrical systems and developing engineering calculations, analyses, drawings, and technical reports.
  • Demonstrated experience applying electrical engineering principles to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components.
  • Experience developing procurement specifications and electrical sections of construction specifications.
  • Previous experience working on nuclear design projects or within nuclear engineering environments.
  • Experience participating in project meetings, field walkdowns, installations, and startup activities.
  • Strong technical problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to address complex engineering challenges.
  • Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor while collaborating successfully within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior engineering professionals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to understand project requirements, interfaces, responsibilities, and technical objectives.
  • Prepare electrical design studies, engineering scopes, calculations, analyses, drawings, reports, and project estimates.
  • Apply electrical engineering expertise to the design and qualification of structures, systems, and components, including complex nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.
  • Develop electrical equipment procurement specifications, evaluate vendor bids, and support equipment selection in accordance with project requirements.
  • Prepare and review electrical construction specifications and associated technical documentation.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex electrical engineering problems while ensuring designs meet applicable technical and project requirements.
  • Participate in project meetings, technical coordination activities, site walkdowns, field installations, and startup activities as required.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure effective integration of electrical systems into broader facility designs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their professional development and the quality of engineering deliverables.
