Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active board certification in primary care or an applicable specialty.
- Active license to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
- Maintain active DEA registration.
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience with demonstrated leadership in a healthcare setting.
- Prior supervisory experience of advanced practice providers.
- Experience working with diverse and underserved communities.
- Active BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Must maintain professional liability insurance.
- Basic computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for 80% of scheduled time.
- Perform comprehensive patient examinations, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment plans.
- Serve as the Supervising Physician for advanced practice providers, including performing monthly chart reviews and audits.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to implement strategy and improve clinical efficiency.
- Oversee clinical quality improvement projects, compliance, and evidence-based practice implementation.
- Mentor clinical staff, facilitate peer reviews, and participate in provider recruitment and performance evaluations.
- Act as a point of contact for clinical emergencies and provide clinical consultation.
