Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Extensive track record of developing highly available distributed systems.
- Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes.
- Experience delivering major features or system components through technical and execution plans.
- Proven ability to thrive in ambiguity and understand architecture of large systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to gather and iterate on feedback from cross-functional peers.
Responsibilities
- Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to manage technical sustainability, risks, and trade-offs.
- Act as a force-multiplier through definition and advocacy of technical solutions.
- Oversee team operations, including monitoring, triage rotations, and playbooks.
- Foster a culture of quality by setting code review and design standards.
- Develop talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
