Requirements
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems.
- Experience with AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to define technical plans for the delivery of significant features.
- Experience making significant changes in large codebases.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive approach to ownership and growth.
- Ability to occasionally work on front-end code (no prior experience required).
- Bonus: Exposure to declarative UI frameworks (e.g., React or Vue).
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly team goals.
- Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on the product development lifecycle.
- Identify and resolve project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Support operations and availability by monitoring metrics and supporting on-call efforts.
- Foster a culture of quality by setting code review and design standards.
- Contribute to full-stack development, including front-end components.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
