Requirements
- Active Public Trust / Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance.
- 15+ years of software/web development, engineering, or optimization experience.
- Advanced hands-on expertise in Java 17/21, JEE, Spring Boot, and JSF/PrimeFaces.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks including AngularJS, React, Preact, and jQuery.
- Demonstrated experience transitioning to or working with Single Page Applications (SPA).
- Proficiency with enterprise environments such as JBoss/Red Hat Linux, Tomcat, and IBM Liberty.
- Strong experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and enterprise container platforms.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle tools including JIRA, Eclipse, and ServiceNow.
- Ability to analyze requirements, perform troubleshooting, and conduct unit testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Strong technical leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and system development standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Senior Software Development SME, providing technical guidance and active participation in development and O&M.
- Lead day-to-day developer activities in coordination with project managers, technical leads, and cybersecurity teams.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and JavaScript frameworks.
- Support the transition to and development of modern Single Page Application (SPA) architectures.
- Analyze requirements, estimate efforts, create mockups, and implement software changes.
- Conduct unit testing, peer reviews, defect resolution, and troubleshooting across development and production environments.
- Manage DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and enterprise container deployments.
- Produce system design specifications, technical documentation, and user guides.
- Facilitate technical meetings, prioritize tasks, and communicate project status to leadership.
