Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications.
- Deep hands-on frontend expertise with JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern web framework such as React.
- Strong understanding of frontend architecture, including state management, component design, browser behavior, performance, accessibility, and testing.
- Experience building responsive, accessible, and reliable user experiences that serve real customer or member needs.
- Full-stack experience and the ability to contribute effectively to APIs, backend services, data flows, and service integrations.
- Experience making technical decisions within ambiguous problem spaces and driving projects from concept through production.
- Strong product instincts and a track record of partnering effectively with Product and Design.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical partners.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve high-quality member-facing web experiences using modern frontend technologies, with a focus on usability, accessibility, performance, and reliability.
- Own meaningful projects end to end: clarify the problem, shape the technical approach, collaborate with Product and Design, ship iteratively, and measure outcomes.
- Contribute across the full stack, including frontend applications, APIs, backend services, data flows, and integrations with partner systems.
- Help define frontend architecture, including application patterns, state management, component reuse, testing strategy, observability, and performance practices.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, Clinical, and other engineering teams to turn complex healthcare workflows into simple, intuitive member experiences.
- Improve developer experience through better tooling, documentation, testing, development workflows, and engineering standards.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to a culture of direct feedback, collaboration, learning, and ownership.
