Requirements
- Senior-level software engineering experience building reliable production systems.
- Fluency in at least two of the following: Rust, TypeScript, Go, or Python.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience taking LLM and agent systems from prototype to production.
- Deep understanding of LLM APIs, agent orchestration, tool calling, RAG, prompt design, and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience managing complexities like hallucinations, latency, cost, and context limits in production.
- Strong background in distributed systems, API design, and data pipelines.
- Proven ability to design platforms that prioritize developer experience for non-technical users.
- Solid understanding of data privacy, classification, and access control as system design problems.
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments where established best practices are still evolving.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and ship foundational infrastructure for creating, deploying, and managing internal AI agents.
- Evaluate and decide on build-vs-orchestrate strategies for agent frameworks and tooling.
- Ensure all internal agents run on Venice’s inference API to improve the product for external developers.
- Architect systems to maintain strict data privacy and prevent cross-department data leakage.
- Build user-friendly abstractions that allow non-technical staff to assemble and manage their own agents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand workflows and design effective platform capabilities.
- Measure and iterate on platform performance, cost, and ROI.
- Evangelize and educate internal teams through documentation, workshops, and proof-of-concept demos.
