Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience directly managing an accounting team.
- Previous experience with Consolidations and Intercompany eliminations.
- Strong technical accounting skills with deep knowledge of GAAP, FASB, and SEC accounting.
- Advanced Excel skills required (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables).
- Fluent English level.
- Located in Latam.
- CPA (or equivalent) preferred.
- Experience with large ERP and Accounting Software preferred (e.g., Maconomy, NetSuite, Intacct, SAP, Oracle).
Responsibilities
- Own month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities, ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
- Review and approve journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, recurring close entries, and financial results prepared by the accounting team.
- Oversee general ledger and balance sheet integrity across multiple legal entities.
- Perform variance analysis and provide clear explanations of financial results to leadership.
- Lead intercompany accounting, reconciliations, settlements, and issue resolution across global entities.
- Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash forecasts.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and support internal/external audits and tax reporting.
- Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and system utilization.
