Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional software development experience with understanding of services, APIs, and permissions.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding/productivity tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, Gemini) in business-critical workflows.
- Working knowledge of core security concepts such as least privilege, sandboxing, trust boundaries, and threat modeling.
- Ability to communicate effectively and partner with engineering teams.
- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar tool-calling/agent-integration frameworks (bonus).
- Exposure to AI/LLM-specific attack techniques like prompt injection or jailbreaking (bonus).
- Background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other safety-critical systems (bonus).
Responsibilities
- Audit current usage of AI tools and MCP integrations to define enterprise security policies.
- Design and implement layered guardrails, including system prompts, scoped permissions, and sandboxing patterns.
- Maintain an inventory of MCP servers and AI-to-service connections with defined data access controls.
- Partner with internal teams to integrate secure-by-default patterns into AI-assisted workflows.
- Evaluate new AI tools, plugins, and integration requests to establish secure implementation paths.
- Continuously test and red-team guardrails to identify and mitigate potential security gaps.
- Document accessible guidance and security patterns for a non-security audience.
