Requirements
- Proven experience defining and executing research and learning strategies.
- Expertise in impact-focused research methods and impact evaluations.
- Strong understanding of Theory of Change frameworks.
- Experience managing research partnerships with external institutions.
- Ability to establish and enforce data quality, ethics, and compliance standards.
- Experience mentoring research staff and managing projects end-to-end.
- High-level stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Ability to translate complex research into accessible insights for non-research stakeholders.
- Expertise in humanitarian or emergency cash response research preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to represent an organization externally at a leadership level.
Responsibilities
- Lead GD’s impact learning agenda for Emergency Cash programs.
- Own the “canonical” Theory of Change for the emergency cash product.
- Define and drive prioritization for impact-focused learning questions.
- Represent RME at the leadership level in opportunity scoping and proposal design.
- Set standards for data collection, quality checks, and analysis.
- Establish management systems for data sharing, ethics, and human subjects protections.
- Directly own and manage strategic research projects and partnerships.
- Author research briefs and policy papers for the development community.
