Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, or preconstruction.
- Experience supporting U.S.-based construction projects.
- Strong full-cycle estimating skills including bid planning, scope development, and estimate documentation.
- Ability to confidently read and interpret architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and specialty construction documents.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including formulas, lookups, and pivot tables.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Comfortable making outbound calls to U.S.-based subcontractors and trade partners.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with clear communication.
- Reliable internet connection and professional remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage assigned projects through the full-cycle estimating process, from bid intake through internal review and handoff.
- Perform detailed and auditable quantity takeoffs using consistent measurement methods.
- Develop comprehensive project cost components including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
- Analyze and level subcontractor proposals to review inclusions, exclusions, and commercial risks.
- Build and maintain a network of qualified subcontractors and suppliers through proactive outreach.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve estimating efficiency through AI, automation, and workflow optimization.
