- 4+ years of experience leading people and creative work.
- Exceptional writing ability across diverse formats, from strategic manifestos to product copy.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating shipped work in brand narrative, positioning, naming, and architecture.
- Direct experience building portfolio and naming systems.
- Technical fluency and ability to collaborate with engineers to understand and explain complex tech.
- Experience working in an in-house or agency studio model with close writer-designer collaboration.
- Executive presence and experience shaping senior leader and founder narratives.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and creative judgment.
- Comfort operating through ambiguity and rapid change.
- Active, hands-on use of AI in writing, research, and creative ideation processes.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the argument for voice-first interfaces and Deepgram’s role in the future of the technology.
- Build a cohesive positioning strategy that connects the company narrative to individual product offerings.
- Translate technical differentiation into clear, memorable category-defining language.
- Lead end-to-end naming initiatives, including generation, evaluation, and legal clearance.
- Establish brand verbal identity, including tone, lexicon, and communication principles.
- Author flagship brand content, such as manifestos, keynotes, hero pages, and launch narratives.
- Partner with founders and senior leaders to shape executive communications.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of writers.
- Actively apply AI tools to creative development, strategy, and daily writing workflows.
