Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional accounting experience, specifically including AP, AR, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Experience in a software as a service (SaaS) company.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles.
- Demonstrated experience supporting monthly and quarterly close processes and preparing financial reports.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive information with integrity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification.
- Proficiency with NetSuite, Brex, and Zip software platforms.
- Experience supporting external audits and internal controls.
- Experience improving or scaling accounting processes within a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, audit activities, internal controls, and financial compliance.
- Maintain high data accuracy across accounting systems while improving existing processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support organizational scaling.
