Requirements

  • Strong professional experience in backend software engineering combined with substantial experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Hands-on experience developing backend services with Java or Kotlin.
  • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and practical experience using it to build automation frameworks.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Playwright, including designing, implementing, and maintaining test frameworks.
  • Proven experience creating functional, integration, and API tests with comprehensive and maintainable coverage.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working with automated software delivery processes.
  • Ability and willingness to contribute directly to production code rather than focusing exclusively on testing.
  • Understanding of IT security and compliance best practices based on ISO, SOC, or comparable standards.
  • Strong engineering judgment, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using TypeScript and Playwright.
  • Develop comprehensive functional, integration, and API test suites to ensure strong coverage and reliable product behavior.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and reusable automated test cases aligned with application requirements and quality standards.
  • Contribute hands-on to production backend services using Java or Kotlin, taking ownership beyond test code.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable test execution throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Investigate test failures and production issues, performing debugging, troubleshooting, and structured root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to embed quality practices throughout development.
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Support engineering practices aligned with relevant security and compliance standards, including ISO/SOC-oriented controls.
  • Contribute independently to technical solutions while communicating effectively with distributed and cross-functional teams.
