Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience managing government contracts, grants, or sponsored programs in nonprofit, public, or human services organizations.
- Proven experience with post-award grant administration, contract performance monitoring, and compliance oversight.
- Knowledge of revenue recognition principles for cost-reimbursement, milestone-based, and performance-based contracts.
- Experience preparing, reviewing, and executing funding agreements, subcontracts, and amendments.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and local government grant systems and portals.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex grant agreements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Highly organized with strong project management and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Independently own an assigned portfolio of grants end-to-end including execution, agency communication, monitoring, and renewal.
- Support negotiation and legal review of awards and conduct first-pass reviews of contract documents.
- Partner with Fiscal teams to ensure accurate revenue recognition aligned with contract terms.
- Coordinate document preparation and lead team meetings for funding-agency audits and monitoring notices.
- Maintain accurate tracking of reporting schedules, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Provide embedded compliance support to Program teams onboarding new federal or state awards.
- Represent assigned grants in status meetings and communicate performance updates and risks to leadership.
