Requirements
- 7 years of extensive experience applying Project Management principles, methods, techniques, and tools (within the last 10 years).
- 4 years of experience as a senior PM on one or more large or complex IT projects (within the last 10 years).
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience substitution).
- Valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- 3 years of experience supporting California Department of Technology (CDT) Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) Stage 2–4 projects.
- 2 years of experience preparing documentation for CDT Stage Gate Reviews.
- 1 year of experience with Accela Civic Platform or Accela licensing and enforcement modules.
- Ability to provide client/user end reference contact information for qualifying projects.
- Strong vendor coordination skills in multi-vendor or System Integrator (SI) environments (desirable).
- Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery methods such as Scrum or SAFe (desirable).
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or equivalent (desirable).
Responsibilities
- Engage in collecting and documenting new or updated requirements.
- Evaluate business requirements and translate them into user stories or technical/data requirements.
- Participate in developing and maintaining project plans, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
- Manage project documentation throughout all stages of the California Department of Technology (CDT) Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) process.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
- Lead and mentor the project team to provide guidance and resource support.
- Oversee technical aspects including data conversion and system integration.
- Coordinate training, support, and knowledge transfer for end-users.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate project success and improvements.
