Requirements
- 8+ years of backend development building reliable, scalable, fault-tolerant systems.
- Deep expertise in platform and API design, including RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and authentication protocols (OAuth, API keys, JWT).
- Experience building resilient data ingestion from external systems such as cloud providers, HRIS, and identity providers.
- Strong understanding of integration best practices: rate limiting, retries, idempotency, webhooks, and schema drift.
- Systems thinking ability, designing for scale, reliability, and proactive risk mitigation.
- Proven technical leadership in complex, cross-team projects.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Experience with CI/CD and developer tooling.
- Experience with internal enablement, such as creating documentation, workshops, and sample integrations.
Responsibilities
- Set technical strategy and direction for critical platform surface areas.
- Design and evolve APIs, primitives, and self-service golden paths.
- Own authentication, data-ingestion, and schema-evolution primitives for external system integrations.
- Build secure, well-documented, scalable backend services and developer tooling.
- Drive performance, operational excellence, and SDLC best practices.
- Mentor and uplevel teammates, acting as a force multiplier.
