Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Current Epic certification in Hospital Coding Administration.
- Current Epic certification in Deficiency Tracking Administration.
- Current Epic certification in Release of Information Administration.
- Current Epic certification in Identity Administration.
- 3-5 years of experience, preferably in a healthcare organization.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Excel).
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
- Familiarity with HIM processes including Chart Tracking, Coding, and Deficiency Tracking.
- Knowledge of Master Patient Index (MPI) interfaces and patient information sources.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and stakeholder management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Initiate the implementation, build, and modification of HIM applications.
- Provide oversight and leadership to Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts.
- Serve as a primary support contact for application end-users.
- Execute all phases of testing and documentation of workflow design.
- Analyze information technology in clinical work processes and validate workflow impacts.
- Identify issues and guide resolution efforts.
- Support junior staff in service ticket resolution and day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and trainers to ensure application needs are met.
- Participate in on-call rotations and committee meetings.
- Travel to job sites for go-lives, conferences, and leadership meetings as required.
